Mother Roasting Sessions
- Mother roasting with Sound Healing - combining the heat of moxa and tuning forks, this session helps the new mother heal after labor, increases blood flow and shrinks the uterus, and stimulates milk production.
- The optimal time to start reintroducing heat to the belly is five to seven days after birth as long as there is no infection. Ideally, Mother Roasting is repeated 5 times in the two-month post-natal period. Mothers can still receive its tonifying benefits up to 6 months after birth.
Treatments are generally 90 minutes, though I allow extra time for baby interruptions!

Jules Sears, Sound Healing Bio
Jules fell in love with sound healing immediately upon discovering it in 2009. She completed the year-long Sound, Voice, Music and Healing Certification program at California Institute of Integral Studies in 2010 and is close to completing the 500 hour Acutonics Cert-ification, which incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine through the vibrations of specifically-designed tuning forks on acupuncture points
Over the years, Jules has studied Thai massage in Chiang Mai, aquatic massage (often called Watsu), Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage), Chi Gong, hypnotherapy, and Somatic Yoga Therapy.
The unifying belief in all these modalities
is that when energy – or Chi– is inhibited or disrupted, pain and stress will be experienced. Sound that resonates to the body's natural vibrations is one of the safest and
most effective ways to bring us back to harmony and balance.
Jules has worked with gifted acupuncturist Jamie Goodman, who specializes in women’s reproductive health in all stages of our lives, since 2007. In January of 2015, she joined the award-winning team at the Acupuncture Herbal Center, Dr. Samuel Wang and Deirdra Claiborne, LAc.
Jules recently joined forces with the amazing Christina Ness-Hawks, LAc, Three Principles Coach and founder of Thrive Acupuncture and Wellness in Santa Rosa. They look forward to expanding their vision of sharing effective holistic methods that bring greater joy and well-being to their worlds.
